| Description: | BIO Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. a Premier Commercial Landscape Services Company based in Houston, TX is looking for an energetic and team player Arborist Business Developer to join its Sales Maintenance Division. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Respond to all bid requests. Customer is to be contacted within the same day of request. Bid may be done by appointment at agreed time. • Maintain backlog of bidding and show % of sales to bid success. • Sales goal would be from $350K – $500K in sales • Required to attend Home Office Sales/ Marketing meetings at least one per month. • Continue to make new contacts (architects, developers and general contractors, H.O.A., property managers). • Cross sell our maintenance, construction, tractor mowing whenever possible. • Attend Pre-bids for governmental and commercial projects. • Disclose all safety issues on every job sold. • List all equipment required for each project. (i.e. Bucket Truck, stump grinder, Loader, etc..) • Pick up bonds when necessary for your projects • Provide field estimates with full description using standard agreed standard bid metric. All bids will be required to meet company stated minimum profit margins to qualify for commission pay (see agreement). • Set up all underground alerts with hard copy of report. Update alerts when necessary. • Assist in job starts in the field when required. • Assist Maintenance Account Managers in bidding existing maintenance accounts with arbor care requirements. • Act as customer relations advocate. • All Arbor Care Business Developers agree to become ISA Certified Arborists within 1st year of employment and agree to keep CEU’s current. • Attend industry meetings to keep BIO Arbor Care and sales team exposed to the happenings in our industry. Educational CEU’s training is encouraged. • Utilizes local office maintenance customer base and continue to cross sell our other services. • Maintains updated prospect and client mailing lists. • Maintains a rapport with allied organizations to promote education and a favorable company image. • Actively participates in professional, trade and/or civic organizations. • Networks with other green industry businesses. • Obtains signatures on all contracts prior to commencement of job(s). • Maintains a timely call back protocol. • Maintains favorable customer relations according to client follow through protocol. • Complies with company policy and office Procedures Manual when completing necessary paperwork. • Obtains approval from District, Division, and/or Home Office for all purchases. • Handles non-selling tasks as assigned (safety equipment, inventory, etc.). QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: B.S. degree in Forestry or Arbor Forestry preferred. Employer will train for field experience The candidate must read, write and communicate well in English. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Good communication, computer and correspondence skills. Be able to multitask and prioritize. Be a team player and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
