Large Maryland based landscape contractor seeking BILINGUAL SAFETY MANAGER to coordinate, implement, write, and manage safety polices and procedures for all landscape and construction activities at multiple job sites in the Washington DC Metro area.
Planning and implementing safety polices and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety rules and regulations Training employees and managers in work site safety practices. Proper investigation of all accidents and injuries throughout every division of the organization in a timely manner. Comply with insurance investigation procedures, while complying and submitting accident reports required. Overseeing the administration of all workmen’s compensation programs, including working with the insurance carrier to reduce ALL employee loss time, while keeping and maintaining of all safety files and records. The manager will administer company wide safety talks and demonstrations when necessary to aid in safety training procedures.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 5 years hands on experience working with both managers and a multi-cultural work force. Knowledge of all local, state, federal employment and DOT laws. The following characteristics are a MUST: ability to orally and verbally communicate in both English and Spanish, flexibility, multitasking and strong computer skills.
