JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an ambitious entry level Landscape Designer with experience in residential and commercial landscape design for a full service landscape architecture firm in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic personality, team-oriented attitude, pay close attention to detail and excel in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
Creating predominantly residential landscape designs including landscape, hardscape, pools, water features, outdoor living areas and kitchens utilizing AutoCAD.
Applying creative input into designs producing 2D and 3D presentations
Producing base sheets from survey plats for residential and commercial projects.
Assembling complete construction documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
Entry level with 1 – 3 years of experience
Proficient with computer software programs including AutoCAD and MS Office
Experience in Sketch Up, Pool Studio and Photoshop a plus
Must be creative and have strong design skills
Extensive knowledge of local plant materials with the ability to identify Zone 7 and 8 trees, shrubs and perennials
Working knowledge of hardscape construction
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Competence to handle a variety of activities with attention to detail and quality
Landscape Architecture or design related degree preferred
