| Description: | Tree Amigos Outdoor Services is currently seeking an experienced commercial landscape Mechanic. This position reports directly to the Manager. The Mechanic is responsible for managing all current equipment and repairs. Position requires extreme job dedication in organization and strong verbal and written communication skills. Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license Keep maintenance records programs to ensure all inspections and maintenance work is performed as scheduled and/or as required by company policy or local, state or federal Routine maintenance of fleet vehicles and commercial landscaping equipment. Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair. - Procurement of equipment and parts. Work within timelines to avoid production down-time. Set repair schedules and priorities to meet budgeted goals. Maintain and renew vehicle licenses. Ability to effectively communicate shop needs/concerns with management personnel Abide by company guidelines and safety policies. Qualifications & Job Description Two to five years general fleet and equipment maintenance and repair experience - Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required Diagnostic ability Oral and written communication Flexibility Detail orientation Organization Providing training to employees on equipment maintenance and vehicle operations. Completes oil changes and performs regular preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Assembles and test operates machine to verify correction of malfunction or to test performance. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. Sharpens tools such as blade, shears, and other metal equipment used for cutting. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems Proper and accurate completion of all daily paperwork. Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment in the Shop and Yard. Communicating to Operations Manager about ongoing service and material needs. Routine maintenance of fleet vehicles and commercial landscaping equipment. Ensuring that all equipment and vehicles are ready and working as needed. This involves providing the necessary repair and maintenance daily to realize the company goal of 0% down time. Communicating and coordinating major repairs and maintenance with Managers. Ensuring that an adequate supply of products and materials are available to handle normal operating maintenance and repair needs. Completing and providing all needed paperwork to vendors and office when ordering and receiving parts and supplies. Continually seek to obtain the most economic prices and quality parts, in conjunction with purchasing manual, to maintain fleet. Work with the Operations Manager to seek new vendors for parts and supplies. We offer a competitive salary.
