We are a grower and a wholesale company servicing New England garden centers, landscapers, municipalities, golf courses, landscape architects and many other professional businesses. We work 200 acres of land for container growing of annuals and perennials and are wholesalers of annuals, perennials, nursery stock and landscape supplies. Our products are available for pick-up, or delivery. We deliver throughout New England. Our operation uses approximately 350 pieces of motorized equipment and a fleet of tractor trailer trucks that need to be maintained and repaired. We have a garage at our farm staffed with mechanics and building and grounds specialists to do this. This position will support them. We are in search of a full time individual to work in our garage assisting with purchasing, sourcing, receiving parts (physically and in the computer), issuing and tracking equipment parts, B & G supplies and tools. The successful individual will: • Have a working knowledge of automotive parts, B & G parts, and tools, • Work well autonomously as well as part of a team towards team and company goals, • Have a “customer first” conviction for both internal and external customers, • Understand the importance of the “why” and the “how to” of tracking parts to pieces of equipment or to inventory, • Multi- task like no one else’s business, • Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors and customers, • Have exceptional attention to detail, and organizational skills • Comfortably use a computer for data entry and part and supply sourcing and tracking, • Prioritize effectively, understanding the needs of the business, using good judgment and effective communication, • Speak, read and write English. Speaking and understanding Spanish is a big plus, • Enjoy a fast paced environment; be able to adjust on the fly, be a “hands-on” person, • Have a consistently high energy level and a “can do” way about you, • Employ effective follow-through skills, • Be accountable, • Be friendly and sincere, • Partake in the success that you have helped achieve. Saturdays and Overtime are necessary during busy times of the year. Cavicchio Greenhouses Inc. offers competitive pay and a complete benefits package upon eligibility.
