We have an opening for a Maintenance Division Manager in Carrollton, TX (main office). This position will have extensive experience in the Landscape Industry and will oversee all operations within this Division, including profit & loss, labor, equipment, customer service, safety and all administrative and business development (sales) functions. A successful Maintenance Division Manager will be a proactive leader with a strong work ethic and a self-starter who enjoys interacting with the public and our employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the field operations team that reflects LMI Landscapes’ mission and corporate values. • Develop business strategy along with corresponding action plans and metrics for the Division; responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external; provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Division. • Responsible for driving the Division to achieve and surpass sales, profitability and business goals and objectives. Full P&L responsibility for this Division. Responsible for understanding and acting upon financial measures such as labor costs, material costs, inventory turns, return on equity, gross margin, client renewal rates, client referrals, job costing, profit and loss. Manage jobs in progress reports, warranty logs and work order cycles. • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the Division – one that encourages new ideas and open and honest communication to improve processes, teamwork, quality and both internal and external customer satisfaction. • Act as the lead “Client Care Officer” through direct contact with every client, vendor and business partner. Represent LMI Landscapes with clients, vendors and business partners. Develop client relationships that foster repeat business and customer referrals. • Motivate and lead a high performance management team that reinforces and perpetuates LMI Landscapes’ mission and corporate values. Establish weekly objectives and clearly communicate those objectives to employees. • Attract, recruit and retain qualified candidates for all field positions for the division including, but not limited to: department directors, project managers, superintendents, foremen and laborers. Maintain recruitment efforts to address all current and future staffing needs. Maintain prevailing wage information to ensure LMI Landscapes remains competitive in each marketplace. • Responsible for training and development of Division field employees. • Responsible for ensuring all employees receive position training to be successful in their position, including external hires and internal promotions/transfers. Provide safety and HAZCOM training in compliance with OSHA standards, new product and vendor training, and appropriate soft skills training. • Provide daily coaching to develop individuals in their position and to build a strong team. Provide mentorship as a cornerstone to the career development program. Responsible for individual development plans and employee performance reviews. • Responsible for holding all employees of LMI Landscapes accountable for their actions – LMI’s employee’s words and actions must be in alignment with our Corporate Values. • Partner with corporate office team as needed to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives. • Partner with President as needed for support and direction to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives. • Thorough knowledge of area landscape practices in all phases of landscape maintenance. • Great communication skills both written and oral. • Ability to work independently.

Knowledge & Experience:
Candidate should have a minimum of five years experience in a similar type position in the Commercial Landscaping Industry. Must have prior management experience and experience in production scheduling and labor control. Knowledge of North Texas plant material and plant identification along with knowledge of seasonal color is a must.
