Currently we are seeking a Purchasing Manager for our location in the Dallas, TX area. Qualifications: 2 5 years of experience in purchasing as a Purchaser/Buyer in the Commercial Landscape Industry. Knowledge of plant material specific to area particularly trees, shrubs and turf Plant Identification Prior Supervisory Experience Knowledge of Irrigation Systems parts and supplies Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook Proficient in use of Timberline Requirements: Customer Service skills / Building Relationships Good interaction with people (clients, co-workers, supervisors, suppliers) Negotiation Skills Ability to coordinate receiving/delivery of product/plant material Ability to distinguish between poor and excellent quality in product/plant materials Inventory Management Understand budgets / bid process Administrative create purchase orders, nursery visit report, bid project record maintenance Detail Oriented Management skills Performance Management / Planning Skills Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines / Completing Projections Ability to work independently Travel to Nurseries Benefits: We offer competitive salary, outstanding benefits including year-round work schedule, AFLAC, PTO and paid holidays.
