In this hands-on sales position, you will be responsible for managing a group of key customers, growing business within the group, prospecting for and developing new customers.
Essential Duties:
Proactively selling and servicing key accounts by identifying customer needs, making face to face presentations, building customer profiles and processing bids and quotes. Execute and complete sales orders and coordinate logistics of delivery and acceptance of customer orders.
Skills & Qualifications: •2-3 years of selling experience in the landscape/horticultural industry •Have confidence in selling the customer face to face at their place of business, as well as over the phone •Know how to close the sale •Excellent communication and team skills •Superior customer service skills •Excellent multitasking skills •Knowledge of Turf , Hardscape, Irrigation, and Low Voltage Lighting products a plus •Solid interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills •High level of detail orientation •Mathematical aptitude •Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications •Ability and willingness to work under seasonal work demands •Ability to work in adverse weather conditions; both heat and cold •Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance (occasionally, regularly, routinely, throughout the course of the work day) •Perform functions of position standing approximately 95% of day •Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus •Perform other duties as necessary •High School diploma or GED •College Degree a plus
