Our continued growth within our existing and new markets creates an exciting position for a Jr.landscape/construction estimator. Core responsibilities of this position include: •Develop and implement marketing strategies aimed at attracting new business opportunities. •Assists Sr. Estimator in performing take-offs and preparing bids for review. •Analyze designs and complete take-offs for estimating purposes. •Conducts pre-construction meetings with clients, production department, field operations staff and subcontractors. •Prepares contract documents and executes contracts as required. •Prepares production, job costing, and project data binders. •Works with; and supports production coordinator/production assistant. •Support billing process for projects to reflect actual job progress. •Support scheduling process by conducting bi-weekly production meetings with production manager. •Ensure that all extras are documented, approved by project owner, and billed accordingly. •Contacts subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes for inclusion in estimates. •Develops project estimates and sells new jobs. •Communicate progress on landscape projects to company management and field staff effectively. •Coordinates subcontractor work with production manager. •Prepares subcontractor agreements •Maintain up to date bid board. •Create and maintain job files. •Follows up with clients after job completed for customer satisfaction •Follow-up with clients to pursue opportunities previously bid •Help Monitor call backs and warranty work. •Participate as required in final walkthrough with client. •Promote landscape maintenance program offered by Company to customers with recently completed jobs. •Present as-built plans (if needed) to clients during final walkthrough. •Drives the financial goals and objectives required of the estimating department. Candidates must have a diverse backround in landscape/construction estimating with a Mid-Atlantic firm for consideration. Experience with computer based estimating preferred including Carlson take-off and Bid2Win.
