| Description: | Job Summary The Irrigation Technician installs, repairs, and troubleshoots underground lawn sprinkler systems. Nature of Work This position typically reports to a Maintenance Supervisor, or other appropriate supervisory or management position. This position requires knowledge of underground sprinkler systems. This position is expected to repair and install irrigations systems on campus. This job requires physical abilities such as trunk strength, manual dexterity, and wrist-finger movement in order to perform the essential functions of the position. Minimum Qualification Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience. Must be able to use every type of Irrigation Controllers, and have two wire system knowledge. Willing to work 5 days a week and willing to travel. Must have experience working on wells and water pumps. Special Working Conditions Working conditions include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environment, air contamination, extreme temperatures, intense noise, hazardous materials, or lifting or carrying heavy objects. In addition, this position may be required to come into work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations (i.e., may be subject to “on-call” responsibilities). **Must have a clean MVR. |
