| Description: | Landscape Construction Crews Leader, Central Connecticut Residential and commercial Construction You will be responsible for leadership of a team of highly motivated people. At Winterberry Gardens – Environmental Designs, a sixteen acre retail and wholesale landscape design/build organization. You must display skills in horticulture and plant identification. You need to be proficient with landscape machinery (skid loaders, tractors, excavators) Proficient skills for hauling machinery with trucks and trailers Class one or two driver’s license a plus Experience with transit and grade change calculation Seed and sod lawn installation Experience in pavers, blue stone, and retaining walls, concrete, stone Good math skills, writing skills, communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate proven abilities in communication, organization, leadership Pesticide license a plus Spanish speaking a plus Good mechanical nature and skills Customer service is a core value of our company and this job. Minimum of five years’ experience operating in a supervisory position in landscape construction. Competent skills in reading and implementing landscape design drawings. You are a Creative thinker for adjusting landscape designs to meet site conditions with the ability to make decisions and off the design changes. You must be able to demonstrate planting skills, masonry skills, earth shaping skills. You will need to be in good physical condition and be able to lift at least fifty pounds. You must be reliable, friendly, consistent, and have a positive outlook. Clean appearance and habits, attention to detail. You must demonstrate an understanding of what customer service is. Sales skills and experience a plus It is beneficial if you have skills with Microsoft windows, office suite, the internet, and smart phones. No adverse marks on driver’s license. The conditions; Work is in an open environment exposed to the elements. You will have experience living in a zone six or cooler region. Travel from facility to different project sites. |
